Just the sound of bees
doing what they love on earth,
keeping us alive.

Lavender fields forever
on a blue sky, big cloud day,
the wind blowing luck.

My mother’s garden,
spring poppies and peony,
always irises.

The day starts foggy,
my mother’s fall lavender
fills up the whole room.

Yellow shells and buds,
meadowsweet and lavender
create a story.
